Okay, the first MLCTF All Star Game will be held THIS Sunday, October 26th at 9est.
The maps to be played will be..
1) Team A's (Team Rob) Choice
2) Team B's (HTBTR) Choice
3) Terra LE102
4) McSwartzly][
5) Orbital LE
It's a best of 5 contest, but I'm sure that both captains will opt to play all 5 maps regardless of the outcome.
Team Rob's captain is..................Rob.
Here To Beat Team Rob's captain will be announced in the near future.
Once again, THIS Sunday, October 26th at 9est. Come by #mlut to watch it on UTV, this should be a lot of fun

After grueling debate, the top 10 players from each divisions have been elected by the admin staff. Please bear in mind that these selections were solely based on performance during MLUT, not reputation, team affiliation, or any other criteria. We also tried our best to even out Offense and Defense within each lineup.

Wow...
The first tournament run by the MLUT came to an end last night, and it was fantastic. Congratulations goes out to Rutzy, who as a last minute captain selection put together a championship calibre team. Congratulations to all the members of Here To Beat Durron, as they not only beat Durron... but everyone else. Congratulations also to the Muppet Babies and a tremendous tournament, even after being down 2-0 in the finals they came a cap away from winning it all, nice job GodAlmost and the rest of the team. Thanks goes to both teams too, for putting on such an incredible show for all those that were watching.
I'd like to say a big thankyou to all the players who played in the first season, without you guys there would be no league. I hope all your interest and enthusiasm continues on in to the second season as we try to make this bigger and better. The sportsmanship and dedication from the players was the most I've seen from players in this community. I'd also like to say thank-you to my fellow admins, who don't always get the recognition they deserve... Ballistic, Ares, Moose and most especially Grifter and M3ss. Without these guys I woulda pulled out all my hair and died of a heart attack already.. they keep me sane.
There were also some other people who put in time behind the scenes to help out with little things here and there that made things run smoothly... I'd like to take a quick opportunity to thank a few people for their generosity... Wretchy, Chicken, Tempest, Ryzule, Viking, Lawstud, Thriller and especially Hai-Ping, Weegie, Apples, PainGod and HoCanada. Of course, none of this would be possible withou Bman, who continues to support the UT community even long after he's moved on to another game. Thanks for all bandwidth... bandwidth man
Finally, I'd like to save my biggest thank-you for Zilch. I can not put in to words how much I appreciated the work ZIlch did for us... he built us an amazing website from scratch in very short order that not only looked fantastic but was so completely functional for us admins... it made life sooo much easier. Zilch was always there to when I needed something added or changed or fixed. He had things done seconds after I asked and in some cases before I even asked. As Hai-Ping said best... he was the backbone of MLUT and should really be thanked by everyone.
Now that that's been been said... your probably all wondering what's next for the MLUT. First I'm taking a few nights off to be with the wife, or shes gonna kill me ... but after that we have lots of work to do. The first thing on our agenda is to get our admin numbers back up to a healthy level. At the end of the first season we had 6 admins... down from 11, so I think were going to be looking at another 4 to bring us back up to 10. We'll be making a post about how to apply to be an admin if you'd like to be, later this week.
If everything goes according to schedule we should have our admins selected by mid next week. Following that, the time table will be dependent on the website. Zilch has been working hard on the season format code and other new website features. If he's on schedule and the new admins and current admins get everything sorted out in time we are hoping to open captains signups on November 1st and player signups for CTF season 2 a week later. I say CTF, because at the same time we open the captains signups for CTF I will personally be looking for someone to head up the TDM division. The person I select will be in charge of all things TDM, they will have all the tools that we have setup at their disposal and can create their own admin team. The CTF guys do NOT want to run 2 divisions, including myself... but we are making everything we've setup to this point available to TDM.
We're hoping to bring you guys a second season that rocks the house with features no UT tourney has done succesfully to this point and are all eager to get started as I know you are all probably eager to play. Let keep our fingers crossed that the second one is as good as the first. We did what we wanted to do with the first season... get it done, get it done well and get it done fast. If we meet our targets for season 2, your all in for a treat.

Man, what a night of UT :)
HTBD shocked the world (or at least the two admins that posted predictions) tonight, taking MB in a thrilling 5 map match that spanned almost 4 hours. MB's star studded cast came up short against HTBD's strong teamwork. Check out the recap tomorrow on the Brackets page.
Congrats to HTBD on winning the first MLUT tournament.
Thanks to all the admins and captains that put in their time to make this possible and thanks to Zilch for building the backbone of MLUT. Stay tuned for Season 2 and the Season 1 All Star game.

Tonight at 9:30pm EST the Muppet Babies will face off against Here To Beat Durron in the finals for the first season of MLUT. Both teams looked very strong in ther semi-final matchups and we have what's shaping up to be an amazing final. We had nearly 60 UTV viewers last night, please come to #mlut tonight at around 9pm EST for all the excitement. Show your support for the MLUT and your desire for a second season by watching the finals tonight on UTV. It should be a fantastic set of games. Good luck to both teams.

Round 2 was wrapped up yesterday with a great match between MB and HT and an HTW forfeit win. Four teams are still in contention for the first MLUT crown, and both matchups will be played Sunday night, starting at 9est with RATM and HTBD facing off. HTW and MB will start Sunday at 10est. Don't miss these highly anticipated match ups, there will be some intense action :)

Whew.. we made it without a major catastrophe in there anywhere. The first round is done and the second starts tomorrow with some very exciting matchups. I'd like to thank all the players who have now been eliminated from the tourney for their support and I hope you all stick around to see how things unfold. I would also like to extend an invitation to all of you to return for season two. Good luck to all the teams that are still competing, I'm looking forward to some good games this round.

We continue to roll through the first round with another 2 matches last night. In what was supposed to be one of the closer matches in round 1, Muppet Babies rolled on past MyBy in 2 maps. Including yet another OT on Hydro.
In the other match it was ebola trying to bring together the FreeAgent team against Higher Times but were thwarted in 2 despite some incredible play from Tweak.
Things will continue tonight, including the much anticipated Helium 17 vs. Here To Win.

MLUT action continued last night as two more teams have advanced, and two more teams are no more. Here to Beat Durron was there to beat Elemental Evil last night as they won in two straight maps, including a long Hydro OT. In the other match, Just a Game had their games faces on as they slipped by Apathy in 2 close maps... including a long Hydro OT. Screenshots, recaps and demos should be up for these two amtches sometime later today.
If you missed the action on Wednesday night, you can read all about it as recaps, screenshots and demos of the first two matches are now up.
Next matches are on Sunday night, including one of the more anticipated matches of the first round in the battle of the MB's !

The first round of MLUT went off without very many hitches. I heard the TJ9 and RATM match was very interesting, Psycho was giving us all the low down in the TS server about the match. First MLUT matches are tomorrow night and everything looks ready to go. The magic man that is Zilch has now added a Rants section to all the matches, the little number in brackets beside each match shows how many comments there are. Just like Teamplay used to have :)

A big thanks to Zilch for getting the bracket code up and running. Check out the brackets and see who you are facing in round one of MLUT. Match dates/times have already been scheduled as well. You can click on the match date/time to view predictions and recaps!
MLUT will not be granting extension or reschedules of any matches. If you are unable to play on your teams date, please contact your team captain or co-captain so they can be sure to have enough players on match day.
Captains - remember you may add/drop players on your roster at anytime using the MLUT website. For more details read rule 2.5.

The draft was a complete success, #mlutdraft topped out at 190 people to watch the fun. Apples' bot was prefect in everyway and the captains did an excellent job picking some very good teams. The teams are viewable now in the teams section and the available freeagents can be seen under players.

It has been confirmed, the draft bot is ready and the draft is a go for tonight at 10pm EST. Stay tuned to #mlut this evening for more details as they come.

Everything went as smooth as we had hoped for signups. The page was able to handle the load just fine for the record breaking 126 ProU users logged on at the same time to signup.
While there wasn't the same clamour for spots as there was for PCL and UDL, the league did fill in 6 hours and the waiting list has already begun. For those of you who missed the signups, you can continue to signup on the MLUT site as the waiting list continues to grow. We haven't gone over the first 170 in detail yet and you can be sure a few will be removed.
We hope that there won't be that many removed though, the login system worked perfectly and it looks like we've weeded out most of the aliasers and newbs, by requireing a ProU account. It's going to be easy to go through the list and find out who is who.
The final list of 170 players should be released tomorrow sometime and following that by a few days will be the salaries.
Thank-you everyone for your continued support, we hope that we have proven reliable to this point as we continue to work hard to bring you a great event.

After a few days of debate, the MLUT admins have decided on the final list of players being invited to be captains in the first season of MLUT. We thank everyone who applied, and if your not on the list, it doesn't mean you won't get an invite as well. We are sure that a few of these players, for whatever reason, will turn down the offer and we have a list of backups as well.
