No BallistiC and no n1ne made for a very interesting match. Team Excuses won McSwartzly][ pretty easily, on the backs of strong performances from Cinco on flag D and sLYd0gg on offense. The next map Orbital was a nailbiter, with both teams having many capture opportunities but not really capitalizing on them. Eventually, Team Africa broke through, as kidsins pushed up and just bulldozed his way out of the enemy base with shock and made it to his base to take the lead 1-0. Africa managed to hold off Team Excuses to force the TieBreaker.

At this point, there was a bit of controversy (controversy? this season? nooooooo. lol!) as apparently Team Excuses wanted to change their server pick for the TieBreaker to Asylum from Hit the Switch. However, Rule 2.6 Server Selection clearly states "Teams are not allowed to change their server choice once they have been told where to go by the admin for the start of the first map." Hit the Switch was chosen before the match started, and as such could not be altered once map 1 had begun. Despite picking Asylum themselves, Team Africa did not wish to switch servers, and as such, Rule 2.6 was enforced and the TieBreaker CTF-Terra-LE102 was played on Hit the Switch as chosen by Team Excuses prior to the match.

At first Terra was an amazingly close game. Team Excuses had the first few capture opportunities, getting 2 or 3 flags to their front door. However, they were unable to seal as snipers in middle and a flood of incoming at their front door prevented each capture. Eventually, it looked like Team Excuses pushed three offense, which led to a brief standoff. klear managed to sneak out to mid with a full belt as his teammates got the return. He then had about four of the ugliest and most pointless pistons I've ever seen in my life. He made it into his base below his amp, just as sLY makes a desperation grab to save the day. klear pistons up to flag from low and somehow his African teammates got the return the second that he landed on the flag. From that point on, Terra turned into a clusterfuck, as Excuses began to argue and push up, allowing the Africans to sneak out and run up the score. klear ended up with a hattrick I believe.

Sadly, this highly hyped matchup was a bit diluted with the lack of n1ne and BallistiC. There has been much speculation, but I happen to think that the two of them eloped to Vegas to consumate their homosexual love affair.
